State conducts monthly siren testing

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Hawaii residents may hear sirens on Monday as the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency conducts siren testing.

Starting at approximately 11:45 a.m., residents may hear one-minute steady tones.

In addition, some residents may hear a “whooping” tone after the test. The “whooping tone” is a test of the hazardous materials incident outdoor siren warning group.
