Virgin America to offer flights from San Francisco to Honolulu, Kahului

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA (HAWAIINEWSNOW) -
Virgin America will celebrate the launch of its new service from San Francisco International Airport to Honolulu International Airport Monday afternoon.
The inaugural flight will touchdown and will include flight guests Virgin Group Founder Sir Richard Branson and Virgin America President and CEO David Cush.
The guests will be greeted by elected officials and leadership from Honolulu and the Hawaii Tourism Authority.
Virgin America also begins service from San Francisco to Kahului, Maui on December 3, 2015.
As part of its efforts to plant new roots in the Hawaii community, the California-based airline will announce a partnership with Punana Leo, a non-profit that provides for and nurtures various Hawaiian language environments.
Hawaii continues to be the number one visitor destination from the West Coast with over 3.2 million visitors in 2014.
