Hawaii Recording Artist Kuana Torres Kahele mentions a 'Olelo No'eau; a hawaiian proverb on his Facebook page; he says, "Something to remember Hawai?i... Pua ka wiliwili, nanahu ka mano. When the wili tree blooms, the shark bites. October and November is Wiliwili season. It is also shark mating season. So FYI... Now's not the time to be diving or swimming!!!"
Ever since the most recent Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer came out, talented video editors have have been releasing their own versions. The latest - and sweetest - mixes The Force Awakens with the animated Inside Out. We got to watch as characters from the Pixar movie go through some of the same reactions we did the first time we saw the trailer for The Force Awakens.
Most of us are lucky to get a kiss and a hug when we get dropped off at the airport; but nothing like this. This unidentified man was giving his family a goodbye HAKA at the Honolulu International Airport. The man who got the video says he was told they were flying to Aotearoa. We're thinking the doing the haka either gave the guards a little advance notice, or those TSA officers are very cool and understanding of the maori culture.
