HPD hiring police radio dispatchers

If you are an excellent communicator who thrives in a fast-paced work environment, and have a passion for helping others, the Honolulu Police Department wants to hear from you.

The HPD would like to announce an upcoming application period for police radio dispatchers. The dispatchers are responsible for coordinating and sending police officers to reports of crime, disturbances, emergencies, complaints, and other requests for police assistance. They’re also responsible for helping callers remain calm while recording vital information for first responders.

Informational sessions will be held on Saturday, November 7, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and on Friday, November 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the HPD’s Alapai headquarters.
