The former chief executive officer of Certified Hawaii, a property management company, was sentenced Tuesday to a year in prison for stealing from apartment owners while managing condominium associations.

According to the Honolulu Prosecutor's Office, Toni Ann Floerke spent more than $100,000 from the Kekuilani Villas Association, the Aeloa Terrace Association -- both in Kapolei -- and the Kulana Knolls Association in Royal Kunia.

After Floerke was fired in 2012, the company’s mainland owner changed its name to Associa Hawaii.
