The Rainbow Wahine were back in the Stan Sheriff Center, but for the first time since last spring, it wasn't the University of Hawaii volleyball team hitting the hardwood. Laura Beeman's squad took to the court in Manoa Friday night for the Green and White scrimmage.
The scrimmage gave UH fans their first glimpse at a 'Bows team that returns six letter winners from last season's team, including All-Big West Second Team selection, Ashleigh Karaitiana, and starters Destiny King and Connie Morris.
Senior guard, King, scored a game-high 17 points, while grabbing four boards and a steal in just 27 minutes of play for the white team. Karatiana led the green team with with 12 points.
The match ended after just three quarters of play due to concern over potential injury with team white winning 48-47.
