Flood Advisory issued for Molokai, expires on Maui

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Flood Advisory until 8 p.m. for parts of the island of Molokai, while a flood advisory on Maui has expired.

Forecasters said at 6:04 p.m., radar indicated heavy rain that will cause minor flooding in the advisory area on Molokai. Heavy rain was located over Hoolehua, with radar showing rain falling at up to one inch per hour.

Locations in the advisory include but are not limited to Hoolehua, Kualapuu, Maunaloa, Kaunakakai and Kawela.

The advisory may be extended if the heavy rain persists.
