High Surf Advisory extended for south shores

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended a High Surf Advisory for the south-facing shores of all islands until 6 p.m. Sunday.

The swell has dropped but is still high enough to maintain the advisory. Surf heights should fall below the advisory level by evening.

Forecasters expect surf of 6 to 8 feet along south-facing shores with strong breaking waves. Shorebreak and longshore and rip currents could make swimming dangerous.
