St. Francis School cancels classes as crews repair broken water valve

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

A problem with a water valve on a 6-inch main on Pamoa Road has forced the closure of St. Francis School, the school’s spokesman said.

St. Francis is one of 53 customers without water due to the problem that was first reported Sunday, according to the Board of Water Supply.

BWS said it was able to complete repairs at 9 p.m. Sunday, but the same customers who previously had problems reported being out of water again at around 5 a.m. Monday.

Crews are currently on scene making repairs. Meanwhile, a water wagon will be available for affected customers.

BWS said it’s not known when repairs will be completed.
