How to keep your kids from eating too much Halloween candy

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

If you're worried that your kids (or yourself) will be tempted to eat too much candy this Halloween, here are some other, healthier options. Registered dietitian Beth Danowsky from the Imua Orthopedics Sports and Health said that you can add in small toys into your candy bin. That way, kids don't always have to choose sweets when they come to your door. Another option, make a trade. You can come up with a list of rewards that you can swap for candy. For example, for 5 pieces of candy, they can get 10 minutes of screen time. The more they trade, the greater the reward should be. Also, keep some fun, ghoulish options around. She showed us some on Sunrise.
