Eight talented gymnasts from the Hawaiian Island Twisters (HITS) have trained hard to finally compete in the USA Gymnastics National Talent Opportunity Program (TOPs). The competition is being held this weekend, October 2-4th in Huntsville, Texas at the Karolyi Ranch.

The young girls, Kamryn Horiuchi, Scarlette Ayakawa, Ui Soma, Caris Baker, Hailey Takai, Kimmi Shiau, Deanna Wen and Megan Chun are only 7 to 10 years old. Their goal is to become the nation's top young gymnasts and future Olympians.

Nationwide, only 300 girls were qualified for the competition. The girls are currently among the top 100, which allows them to train with the USA National Team coaches in December.
