HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

An Oahu grand jury on Thursday indicted two Schofield Barracks soldiers for first-degree robbery after they were seen on surveillance video robbing a Wahiawa convenience store at gunpoint.

Honolulu police said Brandon Harter and Caleb Edie, both 20 years old, were caught in the act on Sunday night.

Harter was seen flashing a gun and demanding about $200 from the clerk. Edie stayed on the other side of the counter and stole a bottle of Jack Daniel's before the cashier hit him on the head with a metal pipe, police said, but he still escaped.

Harter was arrested shortly thereafter, but Edie wasn’t arrested until early Tuesday morning at a Schofield Barracks building after police received a number of tips from the public.

Bail is set at $50,000 each.
