Police investigate another BB gun incident in Aiea

Honolulu police are investigating yet another incident regarding BB guns.

A woman reported to police that at around 3 p.m. Tuesday, her son was walking home from Aiea Intermediate School with friends. They were on Aiea Heights Drive when a dark mustang drove by and someone started firing at them with a BB gun. It's not clear how badly injured the individuals were.

This is the sixth pellet gun-related incident reported in recent weeks, according to police. Others took place in the Pearl City and Wahiawa areas.

Here is a list of recent pellet gun incidents:

From September 22 through 26, 2015, there have been five incidents reported involving BB guns in the Wahiawa and Pearl City areas.

  • On September 22, at approximately 5:45 p.m., a juvenile male was sitting at a bus stop on Hoolaulea Street when he was injured by a BB gun.
  • On September 24, at approximately 7:55 p.m., a man was standing in a parking lot on North Kamehameha Highway when he felt pain on his left hand. Upon checking, he found that he had been shot with a BB gun and went to seek medical treatment.
  • On September 25, at approximately 8:45 a.m., two incidents occurred near the Dole Plantation while the victims were driving. One driver had damage to his rear passenger door, and the other driver’s rear window was shattered by a shot from a BB gun.
  • On September 26, at approximately 11:25 a.m., the front window of a business on Kilani Avenue was damaged due to a BB gun shot.
