Big Island police looking for thieves who stole life-saving equipment from public pool

HONOKAA, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Big Island police are looking for crooks who stole first aid equipment from the Honoka'a public pool Monday night.

Officials say the thieves broke into the offices and stole a defibrillator, a first aid kit, and a CPR mannequin.

The thieves also took a TV, DVD player and hand tools.

The theft forced the pool to close on Tuesday, but will be open again on Wednesday.

If you have any tips, call police.
