Kaitlin Miyashiro, who is six-years-old, has raised about $800 in less than three weeks. Kaitlin made 160 snack bags, and is selling them door to door, in offices, bowling alleys, and to anyone wanting to help.

Her goal is $1,000 and the money will go to Hope, a stray kitten, who needs surgery to fix a spine deformity. The spine deformity is making Hope unable to use her hind legs and also to use the potty.

The young girl first became interested in animal rescue two years ago. She unknowingly bought a puppy from a puppy mill, and the puppy died three days after. Heartbroken, Kaitlin got inspired to help animals in need. Kaitlin wants to become a veterinarian and animal shelter owner when she gets older.

Kaitlin is working with 808 Animal Rescue and together they also have a crowd funding page at https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/help-save-hope-s-life#/story.
