Wind advisory canceled, but breezy weather still expected Monday

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The National Weather Service has canceled the wind advisory that was posted statewide.

Forecasters said winds had fallen below advisory levels and are expected to gradually weaken over the next few days.

A tight pressure gradient between Tropical Storm Niala to the south-southeast and a strong high north of the state will still produce breezy trade winds of 15 to 25 miles per hour, with locally higher gusts to 35 miles per hour.
