HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The H-3 Freeway is reopened heading into Honolulu after an early morning vehicle fire inside the tunnel.
The incident was reported at 6:41 a.m. Saturday. Honolulu Police say that a truck was pulling a boat on a trailer when the boat became fully engulfed in flames.
All lanes were closed for nearly two hours as emergency crews cleared the roads of debris.
No injuries were reported.
This occurred at the same time as the Likelike Highway is off limits heading into Honolulu. It is closed for emergency repair work inside the Wilson tunnel and is expected to remain closed through the weekend.
