High Surf Advisory canceled for east-facing shores

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The High Surf Advisory that was issued by the National Weather Service in Honolulu for east-facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui, and the Big Island has expired.

The strong trades produced rough surf around 5 to 8 feet along east-facing shores earlier in the day.

The advisory was in effect until 6 p.m. Monday, but was instead allowed to expire at 3:45 p.m. Monday.
