Lynette Lo Tom is the author of a new cookbook called "A Chinese Kitchen," which explains some of the unique foods in Hawaii such as "cake" noodle.
Illustrated with food photography, the book's 112 recipes includes popular dishes such as prune apricot mui, boiled peanuts star anise and char siu pork.
She will be available for book signings on Sunday, Sept. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 3.
