The Flood Advisory has expired.
A Flood Advisory has been issued for parts of the Big Island on Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Locations in the advisory include, but are not limited to Kailua-Kona, Captain Cook, Kahaluu-Keauhou, Kealakekua, Keauhou, Holualoa, Honalo and Kalaoa.
The advisory is in effect until 6:45 a.m.
At approximately 3:50 a.m., radar indicated heavy rain, falling at 1 to 2 inches per hour, over Kailua-Kona.
Forecasters advise staying away from streams, drainage ditches and low-lying areas prone to flooding. Rainfall and runoff will cause hazardous driving conditions due to ponding.
