HONOLULU (AP) - People living on certain sidewalks in Kakaako will have to find another place to go.

Honolulu city crews are planning to clear parts of the camp on Monday and Tuesday.

There were nearly 300 people living in the camp in August, but some have been helped into shelters.

Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell began clearing the camp in early September after letting people live there for about nine months.

The sweeps are happening on the outskirts of the camp.

Critics say the sweeps make it harder for homeless people to get back on their feet. But officials say there are public health and safety issues if homeless people are allowed to stay.
