Heavy showers diminish on Big Island, flood advisory expires

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The National Weather Service in Honolulu said a flood advisory for the Big Island has been allowed to expire as of 1 a.m.

Forecasters said radar and rain gages indicated that the heavy rains on the island have ended.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the Big Island and Maui County through 6 p.m. Monday.
