Rainbow Wahine volleyball assistant coach Jeff Hall placed on administrative leave

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Jeff Hall, the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine associate head volleyball coach, has been placed on administrative leave according to a statement released by the university on Thursday.

Athletics Director, David Matlin commented on the decision in an email sent today which explains:

“Associate Women's Volleyball Coach Jeff Hall will not be involved with the Rainbow Wahine Volleyball Team for this weekend’s matches. As this is a personnel matter, I cannot comment directly on the circumstances that led to my placing him on administrative leave. I, however, can say that Coach Hall is taking full responsibility for this situation. He and I met, along with Head Coach Dave Shoji, and we are all in full agreement as to the things that need to happen as we move forward. Coach Hall is a good man who has dedicated himself helping our student-athletes reach their full potential in competition and as people. I have every bit of confidence that Coach Hall will be better going forward. I consider this matter closed and therefore will have no further comment.”

Hall served as head coach of the Rainbow Wahine sand volleyball team last spring, and has been with the University of Hawaii for the past four years. This is his first season serving as associate head coach for the Rainbow Wahine indoor volleyball team.
