Hy's Steak House has donated $15,000 to Kapiolani Community College to go towards their culinary program.

Hy's Steak House decided to add to their 2013 donation of $10,000 to support the school's award winning American Culinary Federation-accredited program.

"We are proud to have graduates and students from the KCC culinary program in the Hy's kitchen," said Wakana Tabata, Hy's managing director. "We look forward to our continued association from the dedicated team at KCC who share our goal of making Hawaii a culinary destination!"

KCC's culinary program provides students the skills to become expert cooks or chefs in the fusion of Asian and Western cuisines and state-of-the-art pastry arts.

"Thanks to generous support from our community, our students and faculty have the resources and expertise necessary to help them excel globally," said John Richards, KCC Dean of Hospitality, Legal and Business Education.
