HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Hilo Hattie will be closing its flagship store on Oahu, officials announced Tuesday.

The company has attempted to find a co-tenant for the Nimitz Highway location, but was unsuccessful. After 35 years, the store will tentatively close at the end of October 2015.

Back in February, Hilo Hattie filed for bankruptcy, which followed the closing of stores in Kihei, Hilo, and Kona.

A company spokesperson tells us Hilo Hattie is looking at several locations in Waikiki for a retail store.
