CAPTAIN COOK, BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - Big Island police are investigating after a clothing store in Kainaliu was burglarized early Tuesday morning.
Officials say just before 2:30 a.m., someone from a nearby business reported hearing suspicious sounds from Oshima Surf shop, then saw a dark Toyota Tacoma pickup truck drive northbound on Mamalahoa Highway.
Surveillance video reviewed by police shows four people grabbing clothing items before exiting the store. Some of the items stolen were bikinis, blouses, rash guards, and other surf brand attire.
Police are asking anyone with tips to call the Police Department's non emergency line at 935-3311 or to contact Detective Roylen Valera at 326-4646.
