HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Olympic Gold Medalists Kristi Yamaguchi and Brian Boitano were in the Hawaii News Now - Sunrise studios this morning to talk about "Golden Moment, A Skating Concert On Ice" that will be at the Blaisdell Arena, November 20 & 21, 2015; Tickets go on sale today.
Kristi Yamaguchi is no stranger to Hawaii, and this event is part of her non-profit "Always Dream Foundation" especially since Hawaii is like a second home.
For Boitano; it's the first time that he will be working in the islands; He has traveled and vacationed on Moloka'i and was here when Kristi Yamaguchi got married in Hawaii. When Boitano skates at this event at the Blaisdell in November; Boitano will have finally skated in ALL 50 states.
This will be the first professional skating show in Hawaii in almost 20 years with top skaters from North America and Japan together in one show. This will raise money to support early childhood literacy in Hawaii as part of Kristi Yamaguchi's Always Dream Foundation.
