HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A flood advisory that was posted for areas of Southeast Maui has been allowed to expire as of 3:15 p.m.
The National Weather Service in Honolulu said heavy rains in the area have weakened. However, forecasters said additional heavy showers could still develop over the next several hours, and that people should stay alert for rapidly changing weather conditions.
Maui is not under a Flash Flood Watch. However, a watch remains in effect until 6 p.m. for Kauai, Niihau and Oahu.
