HALEIWA, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are looking for thieves who stole three newborn lambs from an Oahu pasture this past weekend.
Surveillance images show the suspects stealing the animals, as well as a full bag of mangoes from Tin Roof Ranch's farm off Kamehameha Highway.
The lambs were stolen from their pen either late Saturday or Sunday night.
At just a month and a half old, the farm's co-owner says these animals are extremely vulnerable.
"By taking them away from their mother, most people would never be able to care for them, so they're probably not going to survive," Tin Roof Ranch Co-owner LuAnn Casey said. "It's so upsetting. We're just trying to grow our flock, We've just started to make progress and three of our lambs are missing."
Casey thinks the thieves mistakenly thought the lambs could be sold for their meat.
The farm is offering a $500 reward for information leading to arrests in this case.
