BLOG: School and other closures reported due to severe weather

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Several places -- including some schools -- were closed statewide Monday as a result of the heavy rain. We will continue to update this list with announcements as we receive them.

Tuesday updates

The Honolulu Zoo - OPEN
City Golf Courses - OPEN but restricted to cart paths only
Duke's OceanFest competitions (Duke's Waikiki Kane and Wahine Longboard Pro/Am and AccesSurf Adaptive Surf Expression Session) - POSTPONED
Kalalau Trail in the Napali Coast State Wilderness Area - CLOSED
There were no reports of any school closures Tuesday

Comfort stations at the Waikiki Natatorium
Driver’s license road test appointments at Koolau on Monday are rescheduled to Tuesday
Sacred Hearts Academy
Hakipuu Learning Center in Kaneohe

Maui:
Waiehu Golf Course
Iao Valley State Park
Makena Beach Park
State Forest Reserves at Kula, Makawao and Waihou Springs
Senior transportation services in Hana, provided through the Human Services Transportation Program, are canceled
Hana School
Kihei Public Charter School (Closed at 11 a.m.)
Maui Blood Drive canceled

Molokai:
Kilohana Elementary School 

Big Island:
West Hawaii Explorations Academy 

Kauai:
Green waste is not being accepted at the Hanalei and Kapaa refuse transfer stations
