HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - New credit cards are being rolled out with microchips embedded inside. It's supposed to reduce the amount of credit card fraud that we have seen through the sign and swipe system. The deadline for businesses to have the new microchip readers is coming up on October 1, 2015. That means, businesses should not only have the newer technology, they need to use them or they could be liable if some sort of fraud occurs. Jaymes Hori is with Hawaii National Bank and joined Howard Dicus to talk about the shift.
