Police arrest second suspect in City Mill robbery

EWA BEACH, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - More than a week after one suspect was arrested in connection with a violent robbery at City Mill in Kaimuki, police arrested a second suspect Wednesday in Ewa Beach.

Ethan Kelly, 30, was taken into custody at around 4:20 p.m. He is being held on suspicion of second-degree robbery, resisting arrest and a contempt warrant.

Police said on July 31, Kelly and his accomplice, 31-year-old Benjamin Zablan, tried to steal a cart full of items. As they were leaving the store, one of them attacked an employee with a stolen machete from the store. Another worker was hit in the back of the head, police said.

Zablan was arrested Aug. 12.
