Jehovah’s Witnesses welcome all to 2015 “Imitate Jesus!” Convention

Jehovah's Witnesses have been holding their annual conventions at the Mililani Assembly Hall of Jehovah's Witness.  They extend an open invitation for all to attend.  The theme of this year's program is "Imitate Jesus!"

J. R. Brown, a convention spokesman, states: "Jesus, the founder of Christianity, is widely considered as one of the most influential and significant men who ever lived.  As Christians, a core belief of Jehovah's Witnesses is that Jesus lived his life as a model for us to follow.  The "Imitate Jesus!" conventions will examine Jesus life, as outlined in the Bible, and emphasize how all—regardless of their back ground, lifestyle, or religion—can benefit in practical ways from his example and teachings.  A highlight of the program will be the keynote address on Sunday morning, entitled "Concealed in Him Are All the Treasures of Wisdom."

The conventions began in June 2015 and will wrap up this weekend, starting on Friday, August 21, 2015 through Sunday, August 23, 2015.  Jehovah's Witnesses have been extending personal invitations to everyone on Oahu to attend the convention.  Locally, all of the area's 51 congregations of Jehovah's Witnesses will help distribute printed invitations to the convention.  There is no admission fee.  Conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses are supported entirely by voluntary donations.  The Mililani Assembly Hall is located in the Mililani Technology Park, 239 Palii St., Mililani, HI 96789.  The program starts at 9:20 a.m. on each day and ends in the afternoon.

An estimated 7,000 will have come to the Mililani Assembly Hall for the Bible-based programs.  Jehovah's Witnesses in Hawaii are organizing 11 conventions—in 9 languages—in 5 cities.  Worldwide, there are over 8,000,000 Witnesses in more than 115,000 congregations.
