EWA BEACH, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - [Update 8/19/15:]
Honolulu police arrested a juvenile for second-degree terroristic threatening at the Kapolei station Wednesday morning. Although no weapon was involved, the juvenile was arrested for verbally threatening another juvenile, police said.
Officers remained on campus on Wednesday, but no incidents were reported.
Despite a warning spreading over social media about a man with a gun at the Campbell High School campus, the school will still be open on Wednesday, officials said.
Hawaii News Now received numerous calls and messages late Tuesday night regarding a student's tweet that said an individual would be going to the school with a gun on Wednesday.
The school said it is aware of the post and has contacted the student. Principal Jon Henry Lee also wrote a message on the school's Facebook page, saying it is working with the Honolulu Police Department to address the issue and that HPD would determine whether to make any arrests.
Police officers will also be on campus Wednesday to assist school administration.
