Flood Advisory issued for Oahu until 3:30 p.m.

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Flood Advisory for the island of Oahu in Honolulu County until 3:30 p.m.

At 12:18 p.m., radar showed slow-moving heavy showers along the north and east sides of Oahu from Pupukea to Kahuku to Kaaawa to Kaneohe and Kailua. Rainfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour can be expected in the heaviest showers.

Other locations in the advisory include but are not limited to Turtle Bay, Hauula, Kahaluu, Laie and Heeia.

A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect through tonight.

This advisory may need to be extended if heavy rain persists.
