KALIHI, OAHU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The four suspects tied to a murder in Whitmore Village in June were arraigned Monday morning.

Shaun Branco-Taguchi, Anjelita Rasa, Shane Rodrigues and Jessica Samson gathered in a room at the Oahu Community Correctional Center at 8:30 a.m. to appear before Judge Richard Perkins via video conferencing.

Branco-Taguchi and Rasa were charged last week with murdering 65-year-old William Aki, who was shot to death in his home. Aki's vehicle was later found burning outside of Makua Cave.

Rodrigues was charged with being an accomplice to the murder and three additional charges as well as second-degree arson. Samson was also charged with second-degree arson.

Rasa's and Branco-Taguchi's bail amounts were set at $1 million, which Rodrigues' bail was $500,000 and Samson's at $25,000.

Their court hearing will commence Oct. 19. Circuit Court Judge Colette Garibaldi will hear the case.
