Here’s a sign of the times – DTRIC has become the first local insurance carrier to offer cyber risk insurance, covering hacking, data theft, stolen drives, identity theft, and Internet fraud. DTRIC says some of the policies include forensic IT, legal and PR support, and data recovery.

Macy’s is closing its Windward location. Duane Shimogawa in Pacific Business News reports Macy’s has decided not to renew its ground lease in downtown Kailua, where Liberty House opened in 1954. Now Alexander & Baldwin can decide what retailer it would like to see in Kailua next.

The Chinese Chamber of Commerce has decided to do a Moon Festival and make it an annual thing. In China this is a big deal, the second biggest holiday of the year. The first Chamber-sponsored one is Friday, September 25. More on chinesechamber dot com.
