HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The family of a Hawaii boxer is seeking the public's help in paying for medical costs to save the 22-year-old's life.
Kalae McShane's friends said he had just won a fight in Thailand on July 27 and after a training session on August 5, he told his coach he had a headache and was taken to the hospital after he started to throw up.
A brain scan found swelling in the brain and he eventually fell into a coma.
Friends added the hospital doesn't accept insurance, so his family has to pay his medical fees out of pocket.
