The U.S. Coast Guard has released dramatic new video of a rescue operation in waters northeast of Oahu.
Authorities say three people and a dog were airlifted to safety after their 70-foot catamaran began sinking off Oahu's North Shore on Sunday.
The boaters reportedly made a mayday call and jumped in a life raft before crews were able to locate them approximately 41 miles from Oahu's shore.
The group was airlifted to safety at Air Station Barbers Point, and all three were reported to be in good condition.
Boaters are urged to be on the lookout while traveling in the area to avoid colliding with the catamaran, which is partially submerged.
