The BWS would like to thank area residents, businesses and motorists for their patience and understanding as its crews worked as quickly as possible to repair the broken valve and restore the roadway.

The Board of Water Supply continues to work on a broken valve on an 8-inch water main at the intersection of Pensacola and Waimanu Street.
Two high rise buildings continue to be without water service as a result of this broken valve, which was originally reported at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
All left turn lanes onto Waimanu Street continue to be closed and all lanes on Pensacola must turn right onto Waimanu Street.  Motorists are reminded to avoid the area or to use an alternate travel route.
Repairs are expected to continue through the night. A hydrant bypass is being set up to provide temporary water supply to area residences and businesses as repairs are made.
An update will be provided when the situation changes.
