Ala Moana Center’s multi-million dollar expansion project will open on Thursday, November 12, 2015. The project will transform the Ewa end of the Center into an expanded three-level retail space, featuring 650,000 square feet of new retail, including a 167,000 square-foot Bloomingdale’s department store, large format retailers, dining, entertainment and 200,000 square feet of inline retailers.
In addition to Bloomingdale’s, 25 retailers have announced they will be opening in the Ewa Wing Expansion in November including the state’s first Zara, Magnolia Bakery, and Ted Baker London (see complete list below).
In March 2016, Nordstrom will relocate to the Ewa Wing to a new 185,000 square-foot retail space followed by the opening of Foodland Farms in July 2016. Additionally, GGP, The MacNaughton Group, The Kobayashi Group and BlackSand Capital have joined forces on Park Lane Ala Moana, a 215 unit luxury condominium project with unparalleled ocean views and outdoor living spaces scheduled for occupancy in early 2017.
The Center will also complete the mall-wide refresh in November which includes new finishes, lighting, flooring, and updated color palettes throughout the Center in addition to new glass railings at Center Court. The Mauka Ewa Parking Structure near Longs Drugs, which will contain 4,500 parking stalls, will also open at this time resulting in a total of 11,000 free parking spaces throughout Center.
“We are pleased at the progress of the Ewa Expansion project and are excited to announce that we are nearing its completion,” said Scott Creel, senior marketing manager of Ala Moana Center. “This expansion will enhance the ng experience for Hawai‘i residents and visitors at Ala Moana Center, which further positions us a global shopping destination,” he added.
