HSTA president Corey Rosenlee discusses AC in classrooms, improving schools

The new president of the Hawaii State Teachers Association, Corey Rosenlee, says the state Department of Education is exaggerating its cost estimate to install air conditioning in every hot public school classroom. The DOE said it will cost $1.7 billion to air condition 126 schools on its so-called "hot campus list," but Rosenlee says the work could be done for one-tenth of that cost.

Rosenlee joined Grace Lee with his reasoning and also explained how Hawaii's public schools need to be improved.
