HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

Guillermo has fallen apart. At 2 p.m. Friday the Central Pacific Hurricane Center said the remains of Guillermo are centered about 100 miles northeast of Kauai, moving northwest near 13 mph. Upper level winds associated with the system are unfavorable for redevelopment and has no chance of regenerating.

There are no tropical storm warnings or watches in effect for land, and a tropical storm watch for windward-area coastal waters was dropped overnight. The Central Pacific Hurricane says it no longer plans to issue advisories for Guillermo, as the threat from the storm has largely dissipated.

Guillermo was the seventh named tropical cyclone and the fifth hurricane of the 2015 Eastern North Pacific season.
