Two cruise ship workers aboard the Norwegian Cruise Lines Pride of America were seriously injured Tuesday after they survived a scary plunge.
Officials say two men were doing maintenance work in a life boat when it somehow gave way from the side of the cruise ship and fell 45 feet into the ocean.
The incident happened around 2 p.m. in Hilo Bay.
The men were transported to a local hospital where they are currently in serious condition.
The exact cause of the accident is unknown at this time.
