When Governor David Ige announced the creation of a leadership team to address homelessness, one familiar expert was absent from the crowd.
Colin Kippen, who was appointed by Governor Abercrombie three years ago as his coordinator on homelessness, announced on Monday that his contract will not be extended beyond this week.
Kippen has spent much of his tenure working on ways to track and serve the homeless, and coordinated multiple non-profit organizations on the issue.
Kippen did not specify why his contract was terminated.
