Group Raises Funds to Save Ka Iwi Coast

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) -

The group Save Ka Iwi Coast needs to raise another $500,000 by the end of August to preserve undeveloped and threatened properties along the Ka Iwi Coast. The City and the State have already committed a total of $3.5 million to the cause.  The two properties, known as the Ka Iwi Coast Mauka Lands, comprise 182 acres rising above Awawamalu (aka Alan Davis beach) mauka of Kalaniana‘ole Highway between the Hawai‘i Kai Golf Course and Makapu‘u.
