A 55-foot sail boat has run aground along Ewa Beach Park not far from the shooting range.
Beachgoers alerted the Coast Guard after discovering the boat, named "Pleasure", stuck in shallow water near the shore.
A 70-year-old man was operating the boat when it ran into trouble. He is safe after swimming to shore.
The Department of Land and Natural Resources says the owner of the boat, Josephine Alexander, will be responsible for removing it.
The Coast Guard says the boat does not appear to be leaking any fuel.
