Board of Water Supply crews have completed their repairs to the water main break. All lanes of Kuhio Avenue have been reopened.
A section of Kuhio Avenue near Kalaimoku Street in Waikiki is closed Thursday as Board of Water Supply crews work to make repairs to a broken water main.
According to BWS, a valve on the 12-inch main broke shortly after 12:30 a.m. The break affected at least eight customers. Officials said a water wagon will be set up in the area for those customers.
Work is expected to last through the day, BWS said.
Drivers are advised to use alternate routes to get to their destinations. But police will remain on scene to redirect traffic.
