41-year-old Gilbert Sta Ines of Ewa Beach was arrested Friday morning on July 17 for allegedly taking nude pictures of minors.
The incidents in question occurred between August 2014 and May 2015.
The alleged victims are now 16, 17 and 18 years old.
The self-employed photographer faces a first degree charge of promoting child abuse.
Police seized Sta Ines' camera and computers for the investigation.
He was released Saturday as the investigation continues.
The suspect spoke with Hawaii News Now and said the models got their parents' permission to have their pictures taken.
