A Flood Advisory is in effect for parts of the Big Island until 9 a.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
At 5:15 a.m., radar continued to show heavy rain across the windward area of the Big Island.
Other locations in the advisory include, but are not limited to Upolu Point, Honokaa, Hilo, Mountain View, Volcano and Punaluu.
NWS advises staying away from streams, drainage ditches and low-lying areas prone to flooding.
